Christmas Snaps Class

Morning peoples,

Well I am feeling quite invigorated! Have just had a brisk walk from Brighton Jetty to the Seacliff Hotel and back and now I am buggered! Invigorated but buggered! (and terribly unfit)

Anyways ... here is the page we did last night at the shop.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any queries. I'll be back in the shop on Wednesday for the little Christmas tags class at 10am!

Have a great week

Frustration

When I first met Trevor, I was the manager of a well known photography studio here in Adelaide and for about 6 years, did everything from bookwork, taking photos, doing make up and lots of computer work. When I found I was wanting more, I took a position at an Advertising Agency just doing accounts and front desk. (a step back really but thats a whole other story) Over the 4 years or so that I was there, I also designed and created numerous ads for magazines and newspapers using Photoshop and QuarkXpress on a daily basis. Each day I would probably spend at least 3-4 hours in Photoshop playing around and teaching myself new things!

Well, along came Jessica and away went my skills!

In the last 36 hours, I have spent probably 20 hours on this bloody computer trying to remember what to do in Photoshop!!!! I am so frustrated. I am using Photoshop CS2 and cant get the layers to come up or anything BUT ... after 20 hours I did manage to create a new blog banner so that was ok but dont look too close! :)

So if there is anyone out the in the wide web world who can point me in the right director, please email me! natm@esc.net.au I am tearing my hair out here!

Kaiser Clock

This is a variation on the Kaiser Clock.

I found I needed one favourite photo rather than 3 small so I adapted it to suit.

I used Basic Grey paper and rubons, Heidi Swapp alphas, KI Memories paper lace, Staz On, Chalk Ink, Dimensional Magic, Collections chipboard birds, glimmermist and flowers.

I LOVE how this turned out!

Countdown Tree & Card

Thanks girls for a great class today.

Here are a few close ups of the tree for those who have not finished it!

The first 3 days of school have gone really well. Up each morning and dressed into her uniform before I even get out of bed. She loves her two teachers (ms Nottage & Ms Cooter job share) and cant wait to go back on Monday!

I've been doing a few crafty things this week but can only show you this wedding card I made on behalf of my sister in law! How gorgeous is that Love postmark stamp that the lovely Cheryl Devlin dropped in to me this week. Love it!!! I also used lots of Glimmermist on the Maya Road chipboard and Kaiser rub ons!

For those doing the "Christmas Snaps" class on Monday night, please bring a 20x25cm photo and about 8-6x4cm photos, kindy glitz, eyelet setter and a black pen!

Have a great weekend! :)

First Day at School

Well, she got up before the birds as predicted and was dressed in her uniform by 7.15am!

By 8.30am she was chewing my leg off to get out the door so we were off!

Super keen - straight into the class room and no kiss of goodbye for mummy!!! Typical.

Picked her up at 1.05pm and home!
She is so excited about new friends, new books and new everything!

I have ...

The most excited little girl.

About 7.30am this morning, she yelled at the top of her little lungs from her bed ..."Mum - I am a school girl tomorrow". Came racing down to the bedroom, jumped all over me telling me all the things she will do when she goes to school. Uniform ready, Troy Bolton school bag ready, lunch box ready, drink bottle ready, child ready - mum nearly ready! Actually I'm excited for her I think! So we have 5 half days of school before next Wednesday when she has her first full day! Look out Brighton Primary - here comes Jessica May!!!

I've been doing bits and pieces on the scrapping front. The two pages below are for Click N Scrap Design Team and the cards also.

In the USA at the moment there is a MASSIVE convention called CHA (Craft & Hobby Assoc) and this is where all the paper companies release their new paper ranges and products for the next season. Here are a few of my favourites so far that I have come across.....

Pink Paislee
SassfrassLass

Hero Arts Stamps
Crate Paper
As I come across a few more favs I'll pop them up here for you to drool over! It's just a shame they usually take 3+ months to reach Australian shores! (if they get here at all)

Well, Miss Schhol girl is watching High School Musical 2 AGAIN so will take the chance to clean up my scrap room I think!

Stay tuned for first day at school pictures!!!

Sneak Peek

Here is a sneak peek of a single page I am doing at Seriously Scrapbooking on August 12th.

Yep - it is just one page! But with a few different elements to it - sewing, stamping, distressing and much more so ring Jane on 8277 1298 and book yourself in!

Well, school holidays are finally over and today is my last day of full time work for the moment. I'll go back to 2 days a week soon but I'm glad it's over. It has been a lot harder this time as transporting Jessica all over the city for babysitting has been a big strain.

Today is her last day in childcare. We put Jess into childcare one day a week purely so she could learn to interact with other kids and did not become one of those "clingy" kids! So since she turned two, she has been going to Sturt Childcare Centre on Fridays! She loves it. Never complains about going and talks all the time about how much she loves Mel, Cassie and Ruth and she wants them to come over and have a play date! Too cute. But today is the last day. Trev made a batch of Anzac biscuits to take in for all the girls to eat and Jess wrote on Thank you cards! But from me - I say a MASSIVE thank you to these chicks. They love our little girl as much as we do.

Anyways .... busy weekend planned again for the May house. Off to the pub tonight for drinks for Mic's birthday, Kaleb's 3rd birthday party is at McDonald tomorrow so looking forward to catching up with my favourite "mole" Kylie and Sunday will hopefully be a day of scrapping (after I clean the house).

I'm teaching the Christmas FlipUp double page on Monday night too so if you are at a loose end and feel like being creative - book yourself in!

Stay safe

Lazy Blogger

Sorry I have not updated - have been flat out working full time and have not had time to scratch myself!

Will hopefully pop back again tonight or tomorrow and give you another sneak peek of a page for August 12th.

Stay safe!

Cards to show

Morning peoples!

OMG we have been busy in this house!

This week and next week I am working full time at fivestar so poor Jessica is being ferried all over Adelaide for playdates with family and friends!

On Thursday I got a call from a customer asking for 50 Thank You cards to be made and delivered as soon as possible so I have been hiding away in my craft room and sitting at the kitchen table making cards for the last couple of nights! Cards finally done and they came out quite well so hopefully Chris will be pleased with his order! Here is a selection of a few of them ....

Had a visit with Kerry yesterday morning to see her, Tarran, Chris and the twins. When they were first born they were clearly different and I had no trouble telling the difference between Casey and Shanae but yesterday ... no idea! They are looking almost identical now and sorry Kez but I know I'm going to be always asking which is which! Jessica did not want to put the girls down and quite happily told me on the way home that they were the cutest babies ever and she could have held them all day! Very cute - but she's still not getting a sister or brother! I took the most amazing photos of the babies hands and I cant wait to scrap them!

Here are a few more older pages for you!

Well - I have one more project to finish for Seriously Scrapbooking so better get creative!!!

Dont forget to leave me a comment so I know somebody visits my blog (other than the amazing super mum Sue!)

More Older Pages

This is the nappy cake I made for Kerry's baby shower back in May! Took 80 newborn nappies! Speaking of which - Kerry & the girls came out of hospital today so I wish you all lots of love and kisses and happiness now that the whole family is home under the one roof!

A little CD holder I made about 2 years ago!

This is one of my first pages and one of my favourite too! Super cute & Cheeky! :)

And the circle is actually a Hamble transparency so when you hang it, it is see thru! Looks much better up on my wall!

Ok - I should be making cards for a client so bye for now!

I found this incredible web page page today.
This castle is made from one A4 sheet of paper.

Random pages

This is the baby card I made for Kerry & Chris for the arrival of the twin. How cute are the little shoes made from the Basic Grey two scoops papers

A few older pages I have done over the years.

I did this one as a class with Steph Devlin.

This is a concertina castle album. It was the first class I taught at Seriously Scrapbooking and it booked out really quick which was a total surprise. Most of the students made Pirate one.

I hope to upload a few older pages every couple of days!

Stay safe!
