Pages and Update

Morning

This week Jess has been a sick little chick! For the last week she has had a croaky voice whih is quite amusing really seeing she talks and talks all the time and by Monday morning had developed a terrible cough so we kept her home from school. While I was at work, Jess and Trev spent all day in their PJ's watching movies! She is on the mend but has a bit of a cold now so is just a regular snot machine!

What else has been happening...... worked at the scrap shop Monday packing for the big move! WOW! What a job! Boxes and boxes of scrappy stuff! Was a great day actually! Cant wait to see the new shop all set up! --- 501 Goodwood Road, Colonel Light Gardens!

What else???? I made it thru to Round 4 of Battle of the Scrappers over at 3 Angels! The last challenge was as follows ... "You are one of the talented scrappers chosen to explore the island in search of scrap goodies and a way to escape. You decide to head north. The trip is long, slow and treacherous! Exhaustion sets in. You need to find somewhere to spend the night. Hidden behind some bushes you find the entrance to a cave. You cautiously creep into the cave – what will you find? You can’t believe your eyes. ‘Aahs’ and ‘oohs’ float through the air. It’s like Aladdin’s Cave – there are scrap goodies everywhere! Patterned papers – old favourites and brand new ones stacked up to the roof, cardstock, jewels, chipboard, ribbon, buttons, pearls, mini albums in every shape and size. This is what dreams are made of!!! Suddenly there is a horrific crash. The whole cave is shaking. The entrance to the cave has been barred. There is screaming, some girls are crying. Desperation is setting in. You’ve got food for 10 days and scrapping gear for an eternity!!! What do you want to leave behind if you never get to see your family and friends ever again?"

So I created a little tag book for Jessica letting her know some important things to remember in life! Here is a sneak peek because I am teaching it on Monday 27th October at 7pm!!

I just realised I didn't show you my round 2 entry! oops... This was the brief... "You have enjoyed your enforced "holiday" on the island - the white beaches, the surf, palms swaying in the gentle breeze, the solitude and quiet. (and not a rain cloud in sight, Felicity! biggrin.gif )
But you are starting to grow restless. You are missing your family and friends, your on-line buddies, the 3AS forum and gallery and most of all; the scrapping. sad.gif
One of the girls, Hermione Green, has managed to smuggle a suitcase full of scrapping goodies onto the island. You decide that to get back home you need to send a group of your most talented scrappers to scrapbattle. To determined who should be send into battle you decide to divide Hermione Green's scrapping goodies evenly amongst yourselves.
When you open Hermione's suitcase the crowd falls quiet ... everything is green: the papers, the embellishments, everything!!! Even her stack of photos is 'green'! They are all nature shots! The only thing not green is the cardstock. She's packed white, black and brown card." I HATE GREEN!!! But I was pretty happy with my entry!
Round 4 will be a massive challenge - stay tuned to see what I come up with!

Anyway....here are a few more really old pages for you to look at!

Photo Shoot

After deciding last night that I needed MORE photos to scrap - the 3 of us jumped in the car and went down to Kingston Park (about 5 mins from home) and took some gorgeous pics of Miss Jessica. I managed to take nearly 200 photos!!!

Cant wait to scrap these!!!

Finally some scrapping for you.....

I have finally had a full day to myself to scrap! Trevor is on night shift at the moment so while he was sleeping today I sat myself down and completed 3 full pages plus a couple of cards plus wrote and photographed a small techniques page for Clinck N Scrap on stamping which you can see here.

I have quite a bit more to do in the way of card making so hopefully I should be able to whip some up tonight and post in the next day or so.

This page is about Mr Trev and his love for fishing - using Kaszazz papers and Making Memories journal blocks.
The next two pages are using Pink Martini which are super cheap over at ClickNScrap ($1.09eac for double sided). Not sure about the first page but it's of me and Tana and I used some embossing too on this page!

This is a sneak peek of Ingrid's 50th Birthday card using Die Cuts With A View papers which are also 30% off over at Click! Again - my new best freinsd the heat gun got a go here with the embossing. If anyone has a heat gun they want to sell to me cheap - I'll take it!!! (so Cheryl can have hers back).

And finally freckles! I have always had a lot of freckles and now my little girl is getting them! They are so cute and multiplying by the day!!!!

Stay safe and be back soon with some more to show!

I'm Still Here....

Sorry loyal blog readers - I'm still alive but things have been a bit hectic!!!

I'm waaayyyy behind on so many scrap projects I don't know where to start! I've got piles of new papers and rubons and stamps on my desk but lacking the time to sit and scrap at the moment.

I worked all day at Seriously Scrapbooking on Monday and LOVED it! I didn't really want the day to finish to be honest. Shame it's just one day a week cause I'd do it everyday if I could!

Pop into the shop on Thursday for their 2nd Birthday sale - 25% off storewide!

Jessica is great! Little Miss Smarty Pants at the moment. She is learning to read and is picking it up so well. We are super proud of her.

Other than that work work work work!!!

Leave me a comment - show me the LOVE!!!!!

Dont ya love self portraits!!!

Show Report - lots of pics!!

We took Miss Jessica to the Royal Adelaide Show yesterday!

Awesome day - 18c and sunny. I think it is the first time we have gone to the show and it has not rained! Had a ball - got showbags, went on all the rides, looked at all the pavillions and animals and came home totally exhausted!

This is the scrapbook page that won 1st place in the open category and won Best Overall Scrapbooking Exhibit! I was pretty thrilled to see my work on display!

This page - which I am yet to teach - took 3rd place in the open category.
Here are some shots of my work on display!

And finally a few of our day at the show!
