escape2create

So I have had the most amazing weekend ... today I am tired, unpacking, sorting and putting away stuff and generally recovering.

escape2create has got to be the BEST retreat in Australia. The attention to detail, the food, the facilities, the location and the organization is totally 5star!  I now understand why the tickets sold out in 3 minutes!

So I flew in on Thursday morning and spent the day helping the team turn an empty shed into a scrapping haven!

Our beautiful hostesses - Meredith, Amanda and Sue

Thursday night we were taken out to tea and had an wonderful meal followed by a trip to the bottleshop for a top up of supplies! :)  Thursday night was so much fun, we danced, we sang, talked a whole lot of rubbish, had a few tears and drank a little wine.  Consequently Friday morning, after going to bed at 3.30am, I was a little average!

At noon on Friday the shed started filling up and the scrapping began. Over three days, the laughing was contagious, the creativity was inspiring and the food was fabulous!

Kate Mason taught a canvas class on Friday night where I made this super cute piece - LOVED it - Cant wait to make more!

Mardi Winen taught her class on Saturday morning {this woman is just the most beautiful person - a real star in my eyes} and I taught this page on Saturday afternoon.

I was absolutely blown away that the ladies loved doing this and soaked it all up.
***make sure you come back tomorrow because I am going to do another little
giveaway if you were on the retreat***

I created a total of 12 pages over the weekend and will slowly show them all this week!
Here is my little workspace

I shared a table with Lauren, Tatum, Ali, Mardi & Kate

Here is one of the pages I created over the weekend....

I thought it was about time I scrapped Trev a bit more! I am loving doing some really simple pages at the moment. This page is using Prima paper, washi tape, tissue paper, paint and mist - simple but I think it's effective and most importantly, it focuses on the photo.

OK... well I must get back to the ongoing jobs......

Back tomorrow with another page!
Nat
